JOB SUMMARY: REV Entertainment is seeking to hire a Director of Team Business Operations for the Sports Management division of REV. This position is responsible for overseeing all strategies for REV-owned and managed teams, including driving revenue, leading facility and business operations, and driving fan engagement and experiences at each property.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF POSITION INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO, THE FOLLOWING:
• Oversee General Managers at team(s), including oversight of ticket sales, corporate partnerships, and business operations.
• Establish and maintain a strong and positive relationship with the team(s) full-time and game-day staff.
• Develop and implement sales and revenue strategy for current and future REV sports venues and teams, including direct oversight of all business operations.
• Accountable for business development, overseeing all aspects of ticket sales, sponsorship sales, event sales, and other revenue generating streams for REV-managed properties.
• Lead the development of an annual budget and corresponding plan detailing the goals and objectives of each department for the team(s).
• Work in conjunction with Director of Venue Operations on all venue operations plans and strategies for teams.
• Work in conjunction with Sr. Director of Marketing on all communications, community relations, and marketing strategies for teams.
• Manage monthly revenue reports, in conjunction with accounting staff, providing regular updates to leadership and ownership.
• Work with team(s) to establish an organizational chart, staffing plan, and develop/maintain job descriptions for each position
• Work with team(s) to develop cohesive strategies across every team, including ticketing strategies (season tickets/groups/single games).
• In conjunction with the General Manager at each property, assist with the sponsorship sales process from initial outreach, asset negotiations, contract execution, and hand off upon completion.
• The successful candidate will foster relationships with existing, new, and prospective clients.
• Work with local team staff to develop and implement a plan for increasing corporate advertising and sponsorship revenue.
• Work with local team staff to develop group ticket plan and pricing strategy.
• Provide support to Vice President, Sports Management.
• Create and maintain weekly project status reports.
• Travel as needed.
• Regularly attend home games for the team(s), as well as regular visits to team(s).
• Other duties as assigned.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Minimum of five (5) years' experience successfully leading a minor league sports organization.
• Related experience in sales and team management required.
• Strong customer-service oriented and positive attitude.
• Ability to work events on nights and weekends as necessary.
• Ability to travel.
• Exceptional communication skills, including writing and grammatical ability.
• Exceptional multitasking and organizational ability.
• Strong managerial skills required.
• Strong commitment to customer and client service required.
• Ability to handle confidential material in a professional manner.
• Must work well in a cross-functional team environment and possess strong interpersonal skills.
• Motivated self-starter.
