Job Description
The E.W Scripps Company is seeding a Supervisor, Network Broadcast to join our team in Clearwater, Fl. This individual will be responsible for a team of Network Broadcast Operators. The supervisor hires, trains and supervises Network Broadcast Operators for real-time observation, trouble ticket reporting, and tier response escalation in order to ensure the highest quality broadcast practices on all signals that leave the Scripps national network operations facility. The supervisor also fills in for Network Broadcast Operators as needed.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:
• Supervises team of Network Broadcast Operators that watch all of SCRIPPS's ''Send and Return'' signals to ensure technical transmission and quality of broadcast.
• Effectively communicate and troubleshoot all outages/issues per company SOP's.
• Creates schedule and assigns shifts for Network Broadcast Operators.
• Conducts quarterly check-ins with employees
• Conducts training updates with existing employees
• Trains all new employees in the department
• Maintains policies and procedures for the department
• Other duties as assigned

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or 1-3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong computer skills and be comfortable in a Windows environment; Proficiency in Microsoft Office to include Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint is required.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:
• Ability to work well under pressure.
• Excellent written and verbal communication/documentation skills.
• Organized and self-motivated.
• Supervisory experience preferred including hiring/termination, mitigating employee issues affecting performance, etc.
• Knowledge of all related origination equipment, or ability to learn.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
• Ability to troubleshoot minor operational problems.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to deal with problems involving variables in standardized situations.
• Ability to work well as part of a team.
• Ability to pro-actively identify problems and troubleshoot before affecting on-air.
