PMC is hiring a Toronto-based Sales Director to work both client direct and with leading Canadian agencies to build, sell, and execute against PMC's Strategic Suite of Solutions. You will contribute to a high-caliber team in a business that is experiencing rapid and dramatic growth across all PMC owned brands. You will be fostering relationships specifically in the Canadian Market and responsible for developing and delivering a sales strategy to senior and junior level client and agency personnel.
The ideal candidate will have a strong desire for selling and a proven ability to reach and influence client and partners to drive new business, in addition to building and increasing existing business.
Candidates must have strong consultative sales experience, an excellent network already established and a solid understanding of the Canadian agency and client landscape. This role will work across multiple disciplines (Advertising, Marketing, Racing, Entertainment, Awards and Festivals) so a collaborative approach, and innovative spirit will be critical to success. The candidate must be comfortable working within a fast moving and entrepreneurial environment.
The Expectations of the Role:
• Further establish PMC and its brands as a must-buy destination for all agency teams located in Canada
• Act as the primary liaison, internal advocate and thought leader for your agency partners and senior clients. Provide best-in-class, white glove service and partnership across all facets of PMC (including holistic media, creative, and consumer experience teams).
• Drive advocacy, adoption, and growth of agency/holding company portfolio through a strategic focus of key accounts.
• Command, report and forecast sales activity - from prospecting target accounts and contacts to closing deals and renewing.
• Work with PMC Marketing to and create sales proposals and manage advertising agencies and clients.
• Generate revenue and achieve target quota.
• Candidate embodies the traits of a ''go-getter''.
• Driven and capable of working independently with minimal supervision. They are self-motivated and don't rely on external factors to push them forward.
• Independent – comfortable working alone, self-reliant and thrive in environments where they can take ownership of their work without constant supervision.
Minimum Qualifications:
• 5+ years of direct selling to Canadian Agency & Clients. Preference is that the candidate has contacts across Canada – Vancouver, Montreal, Halifax, Toronto
• Minimum total of 10+ years in sales, marketing or account management/operations experience.
• Strategic Thinking; the ability to set a strategic vision for your agency partners, and contribute to the overall strategic vision for the larger team. Alignment with other teams within the Strategic Solutions Group and PMC teams to execute on that Strategy.
• Well-versed in digital platforms and emerging technology including programmatic trading (OMP, PMP, PG) – as well as sponsorship/content, audio, native and social.
• Cross Group Collaboration. Successful working in a highly collaborative manner across a variety of business functions and geographies.
Typical wage range 115k – 125k CAD + quarterly commission. Factors that could be used to determine your actual salary may include your specific skills, years of experience and comparison to current employees already in this role. The typical candidate is hired below midpoint of the range.
