Intern - Sales Enablement

Job Description

The position will play an important role in supporting the sales departments for the Utah Jazz and Utah Hockey Club. This internship provides the opportunity to work on meaningful projects that contribute to the organization's success while developing personal and business acumen. The right candidate will communicate well with stakeholders across multiple teams, be a strong problem-solver, and a quick learner.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Assist with the daily operations of Business Development, Ticket Sales and Operations teams.
• Assist on various research projects for the sales departments.
• Aid project organization, creative ideation, and proposal creation.
• Collaborate with the Account Executives and Directors to track, progress, and report back to the Business Development and Ticketing team on potential leads and events that would contribute to the success of relationships for the departments..
• Assist in marketing-related tasks such as driving interest in sales events, sales campaigns, etc.
• Develop new and innovative lead gen strategies and assist in researching and building local, regional, and national lead lists for corporate partners, season ticket members, group buyers, and premium seating buyers.
• Conduct research on industry trends, competitors, and customer needs, helping to enhance the sales team's approach and strategies.
• Exemplify and demonstrate an attitude of inclusion, diversity, transparency, and continuous personal development.
• Collaborate with the marketing, and the sales team to ensure alignment and consistency in messaging, positioning and content.
• Support the Business Development and Ticketing department in all other tasks and needs.

QUALIFICATIONS:
• A hard-working, self-motivated person that strives to build and maintain relationships.
• Creative and assertive communication skills.
• Pursuing a bachelor's degree, college junior majoring in creative marketing and advertising preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel
• Ability to work a non-traditional schedule as sports and entertainment events may require, including extended days and hours, holidays, and weekends
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment background screening

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
• This person must be able to communicate and express themselves both written and verbally.
• This person must be able to observe, inspect, estimate and assess.
• This person must be able to sit, stand, bend, walk, and climb stairs for long periods of time.
• This person must be able to lift 20 lbs.
