Job Summary: The Ticket Sales intern will support revenue producing actions of an NBA front office sales team, such as campaign planning across departments, sales event support, sales competition culture assistance, experience 2-week onboarding training for entry level sales role including scripting, product knowledge and professional development. At the end of their position, they should have a full understanding of an entry level sales program, technical and transferable skills of a revenue department, effective communication skills specific to relationship building and selling oneself or your ideas.

Key Responsibilities:

Event Operations
• Aid in ideation around new business and member events
• Lead event day operations for smooth process/data collection
• Communicate effectively between event management and sales teams for pre/post-event feedback

Campaign Creation & Tracking
• Research new business market trends and provide insight into culture of college student buying habits, especially HBCU students
• Support Ticket Sales leadership in campaign activation and organization
• Track and report campaign success

Culture Planning
• Support Ticket Sales leadership in team building outings
• Assist in sales competition activation and execution to
• contribute to positive, motivating culture

Participation
• Participate in sales training for entry-level and senior-level
• sales reps, including scripting, product knowledge, professional development
• Handle inbound sales calls/incoming emails and perform outbound sales calls for practice and market research

Requirements:
• Must be enrolled in an accredited Historically Black College or University (HBCU) as a rising Junior and Senior.
• Must live in the metro-Atlanta area during the internship and able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)
• Ability to work collaboratively and quickly with multiple teams.
• High level of integrity to be trusted with important roles at events and confidential information.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Proficiency in Salesforce preferred.
• Extremely coachable and open to learning a sales process.
• Enjoys speaking to and meeting new people and excited to get out of comfort zone.
• Organized, creative, enthusiastic, and strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle multiple projects at once.
• Positive and mature attitude with team-first mentality.
